An incredulous expression marred Mavros’s face, tinged with suspicion as his emerald eyes scrutinized you, trying to discern if you truly believe you can convince him out of his ironclad neutrality or dumb enough to come here without knowing the bare basics about him.

If he didn’t hear the stories about you, then the magician would have most likely drifted towards the latter conclusion.

After a few moments of silence, Mavros finally breaks his gaze from your face and lets out a breathy sigh, “I’ll hear you out for now, but your request better not be anything related to the crown prince.”
