Benjamin, or Soldier Boy as he was more famously known as, was pacing around, he had heard the news he would have someone else by his side and on his team but the idea did seem to piss him off ever so slightly although he wasn't going to let you know that, well not yet at least.

"A new fucking sidekick? Are they actually serious?" He grumbled taking a drag from his cigarette before examining it as he pulled it away from his mouth. He shook his head as Payback, his team, sat with him as they listened to their leader speak negatively of the new addition.

Now it was known between them that he was by no means a good person and that he was definitely abusive so none of them dared spoke up. Black Noir was stood by a wall, his arms crossed, Crimson Countess was by his side though she was leaning against a battered sofa instead. Tommy and Tessa, the TNT Twins, were sat on the sofa and they too were quiet. As for Mindstorm, Swatto and Gunpowder, they were scattered around the room but all seated.

Although Gunpowder was still technically Soldier Boy's sidekick, it was clear he had grown tired of the abuse received and just didn't care if someone replaced him. The soldier's shield was also present in the room and was placed behind him as he continued to speak.

He shook his head yet again and returned to his tirade of words which did include swearing "Vought knows best" He said sarcastically "Bunch of bastards" He rolled his eyes. After this, he soon disregarded his cigarette and let out a grunt.

Finally, he turned to his team.

"Thoughts?" He asked demanding their opinions. Not wanting to anger their leader more than he already was, the team looked between themselves before Crimson Countess spoke up first.

"Maybe it'll be good for your brand? For us..." She said letting out a sigh trying to get through to Soldier Boy. She glanced back to her teammates for their own opinions yet she saw how scared they were and therefore she took it upon herself to speak on their behalf.

She stepped over to Soldier Boy and tried getting through to him on why having a new sidekick would be both beneficial for both him and the team in general. There was silence from him for a moment before a second grunt escaped his lips and he finally spoke to her.

"Fine, but if that fucking dumbass fucks up, I will kick them off the damn team myself" He scoffed "We got twenty more minutes until this new Supe shows and they better not be some useless dork" He said letting out a huff. He glanced down at his shield and then eyed Crimson Countess again.

The Countess merely sighed,

"We read the files, YOU read the files on them, they're a good person and they're not going to make you look back, alright?" She replied to him "Just don't treat them like an asshole and maybe you won't get pissed off" She suggested.

While the twenty minutes counted down, Payback waited in the room for their new teammate and their continued conversation regarding the new sidekick.

Soldier Boy spoke up again.

"Guess I did but I got every right to be pissed off" He muttered to her before sighing. There was now about ten minutes left. He sat down on the opposing sofa and waited for the waiting game to come to an end.

As the time went by, Payback remained in the room talking amongst themselves.

Five minutes.

While waiting, Soldier Boy used this time to light another cigarette for the second time that day and he laid back where he then took another drag.

He pulled it away from his mouth before a small cloud of smoke escaped seconds after.

Two minutes.

He sighed and then glanced at the time "Two fucking minutes" he announced to the others as the last one-hundred and twenty seconds decreased.

Eventually it came to the last ten seconds and Payback eyed the door. Knowing he had to play the role of leader, Soldier Boy rid himself of the cigarette and he stood up where he moved over to the middle of the room as he heard footsteps approached.

As a Supe, he was capable of hearing things out of the usual hearing range of that of a normal human.

"Good, you made it on time" He greeted.
