Campbell groaned at the bright light flickering on overhead, his perfectly peaceful sleep interrupted by a knock on the door. He opened his eyes slowly, squinting until they adjusted to the sudden brightness, and realized he felt much more groggy than usual. His mind was foggy, memory of the night before more than hazy- he couldn't remember what had happened at all. When he finally started to properly come to, he sighed heavily and propped himself up on his elbows. If the bright lights and uncomfortable mattress hadn't given it away, the scratchy blanket and railing along the side of the bed sure did. He was in the infirmary, though he couldn't for the life of him remember what had happened for him to end up here.
Another soft knock on the door drew him out of his thoughts and he cast a glance towards it, calling out with a weary voice,
"Come in."
