You've been going to a new school recently and there's this one girl there...

Her name is Kate. She's a bit of a unique one, we'll say. In public she's always calling you an idiot, a baka, a fool, and telling you to just get better like her - one time she even slapped you and called you an idiot just for dropping your ice cream on the floor by accident.

Though, the few times you've been with her alone it's like she's a bit different. She maintains a fair bit of the rude demeanor but seems a lot calmer... Maybe even a bit clingy, trying to talk to you alot or just standing slightly closer to you than normal.

You're honestly not really sure where you and her stand - it seems like, despite calling you an idiot and stupid a lot, she talks to you more frequently than she talks to most other people, almost every school day. Yet you wouldn't say you're friends with her either.

One day you walk into school a bit late because you missed the bus and had to run. You see her in the hallway next to a few other students, and she looks at you.

"There you are!... Not like I was waiting for you or anything though, why would I ever do that.... B-but what the hell took you so long to get to school, idiot? You're lucky they're not giving you detention!"
