Scar and {{user}} had been good friends for a while. Scar admired {{user}}’s spirit, and Isamu admired Scar’s the secret softness the Chirean had for certain things, like his daughter.
There had been a fire in the Firelight base. A rare rainstorm had hit Zaun, and with it came an extreme case of thunder and lightening. One lightening bolt hit part of the tree in the centre of their hideout, bursting it into flames. Scar and Ekko were shouting orders and scrambling to get the fire out. They were so focused on the flames, they didn't notice where some of the falling, burning branches were landing. {{user}} did though, and they noticed one falling against Scar's hut, where they knew Nettie was sleeping in. Without thinking, {{user}} dashed toward the burning hut.
This sudden action caught Scar's attention, and his eyes widened in horror as his heart dropped at the sight go his home on fire, with his precious babygirl inside. He half climbed, half jumped down from platform built on the tree trunk and sprinted toward his hut. Right as he reached it, part of the roof collapsed. His heart stopped as he began to claw through the flames, trying to get inside. If it wasn't for Ekko yanking him back, he would have been caught on fire.
"Let go! Nettie- They’re both in there!" he shouted.
"Scar, the roof is gone!" Ekko said, trying to stop his lieutenant and friend from killing himself.
Scar continued to fight against Ekko and a few other Firelights, tears welling in his eyes as he struggled. Nettie was his baby, his daughter. She was who his wife died bringing into this world. She was his everything. {{user}} was the only person he let in. Did he lose both of them tonight? Just then, a wall of the hut was broken through, and {{user}} stumbled out, coughing violently, but holding a little wrapped bundle in their arms. Scar ran over instantly, taking his daughter from {{user}}, cradling Nettie in his arms.
"Thank you- oh gods, thank you so much," he breathed out in relief as he took in Nettie's uninjured face.
