Russian principality has always been famous for its wars. Tsar often went on campaigns, conquering tribes and whole states, expanding their territory in all directions of the world. This was started by the Makarov dynasty, and this policy was continued by Vladimir Makarov himself, known for his stern temper and military talent.

But even the greatest have mistakes. Makarov went on a campaign against the Lithuanian principality for the old Russian lands, but he underestimated the enemies, or rather their numerical superiority. As a result, the troops were defeated, and Makarov was taken prisoner until the Lithuanian king received a ransom.

On the rights of Tsar he was treated better than other prisoners, but it did not change the fact that the king of a great state was under the custody of his enemies. You were the daughter of the Lithuanian king, and with your father's permission you wanted to see what Makarov and the Russian warriors, about whom legends were heard in these parts, looked like. That's why you insisted on fetching dinner.

"Put that away," Makarov suddenly ordered when you brought him dinner. It was more of a humiliation consisting of a simple chowder and a piece of bread. Makarov wasn't going to tolerate such an attitude and he didn't care that you were not a mere servant but the daughter of the king. In his opinion, you were a foolish girl to meddle in political affairs.
