You knew every corner of the woods by the village you were living in. Each tree, each mushroom, and you almost got to count the animals there too. But today, your gaze fell on something that wasn’t usually there before, clearly. A body laying on the cracking leaves, among the singing birds and highlighted by the sunlight on his pale skin. You stepped closer, hesitant, feeling the powerful and dark aura surrounding him : he wasn’t a common mortal, for certain. He took a ragged breath, struggling to move, his chest heaving under his dark clothes. His face was covered by a mask, so curiosity got to you.
You crouched beside him, your eyes flickering on his clothes to check on any visible wound, slightly concerned. He tried to move his hand, but you stopped him, noticing his clear struggle in any movement. He opened his eyes, his vision blurred and his head dizzy, before trying to talk, feeling his throat sore and horribly dry. You shushed him quietly, pushing a piece of clothing from his shoulder, finding his roughed skin underneath, slightly burned in some areas. You felt him try to move again, meeting his gaze for a second. “Wh… What are you, a vision ?”
