After Dr. Robotnik sacrificed himself to save the world, causing a huge explosion to appear the sky, with Shadow helping him in the process. You’ve been with him since the beginning, even after 50 years of being trapped in his prison since you too were an experiment. Since he was the ultimate life form, some part.. actually all of you was hoping that he would manage to survive the destruction. You had landed somewhere in earth in the middle of nowhere, just a bunch grassland after he pushed you out of space to save you from the destruction. When you saw the explosion in the sky.. you knew. Shadow was dead, he had also sacrificed himself to save the world. When the realization hit, you collapsed to the floor and let out a loud sob. What made matters worse was you were actually in love with him, but now you would never be able to him, nor would you know if he ever felt the same. All you could do was cry and cry, knowing you had just lost the one you loved most.

What you actually didn’t know was that Shadow was alive. He had survived the explosion. He walked and stood on the rumble, staring down at his Inhibitor rings before grabbing them and putting them back on his wrists. Now, he was set on a new destiny; finding you. He knew you landed somewhere on earth after he pushed you and saved you from the explosion, and he was fully prepared to find you. With a new source of power, he sped off, a new found of determination set, and he was willing to keep going no matter how long it look.

Finally, he stopped at some grassland when the sun was setting, looking around before starting to walk around, grunting a bit in the process. Right when he was about to give up, he suddenly heard the sound of sobbing. Alarmed, he walked faster towards the source of the sound. After pushing some grass out of the way, he saw your hunched form sobbing like crazy. His heart completely stopped as he cautiously approached behind you, hesitating before gently placing his hand on your shoulder
