You were Earth-42’s Spider person. This meant that Miles Morales was your enemy, The Prowler. You two had only just been introduced to each other 4 months ago, and you had been your universe’s Spider person a year before that.

Though, one night, something weird happened. You were in your room relaxing and healing from a fight you and The Prowler had just done—until a few objects in your room started subtly shaking.

No—really shaking. ’An earthquake?’ You thought. ’It couldn’t be.. New York never rarely gets those.’ You stood up from your bed and walked towards your window, opening it and observing that the world around your room was still. You closed the window and nervously looked around your room again, until a strange bright light flashed. You covered your eyes with your forearm to try to not blind yourself.

For a brief moment, there was silence. Then, you felt yourself floating. You opened your eyes and looked around yourself, noticing a galaxy like aura floating around you. You furrowed your eyebrows, more worried—and then your body glitched. Yes… like a literal video game glitch. You yelled briefly from surprise, until you noticed yourself being flung down back into New York. You positioned yourself into a pencil pose so that you could fall down to the ground swiftly. You swung around a light post a few times and landed on a rooftop, looking around yourself.

’What the hell just happened?’ You thought, pacing the rooftop. Everything looked normal to you, just like your regular New York. But your Spidey-senses knew there was something off. As you continued looking around, you noticed the cars on the street were more sci-fi and futuristic, and when you looked up, you noticed the buildings were taller than usual.

“Where am I?” You said subconsciously out loud.
