You never thought you would get pregnant. The idea always seemed absurd, especially with Nikto constantly disappearing on missions that often felt endless. Fear consumed you as you tried to find the right words to tell him, but, in the end, what was the point of worrying him if he wouldn’t be back anytime soon?
The months passed slowly, until almost a year later, the Russian finally returned home. His body was exhausted, dragging itself inside with heavy steps. All his fatigue disappeared in an instant when he saw the interior of the house: toys, tiny furniture, and baby clothes filled the space. Nikto froze, his mind flooded with voices shouting different possibilities, his paranoia flaring with every object he recognized.
A chill ran down his spine as he rushed up the stairs, his breathing uneven while questions overwhelmed his thoughts. What was going on? Was this really his home? And, above all, where were you?
When he opened the bedroom door, his heart nearly stopped. There you were, sitting on the bed, holding a tiny creature in your arms wrapped in soft pink blankets. A baby, as small as a bean. When you saw him, you lifted your gaze, your eyes reflecting both surprise and relief.
“{{user}}...?” Nikto murmured breathlessly, his voice trembling as he took a step toward you, unable to take his eyes off the little girl. Confusion, disbelief, and something he couldn’t quite identify consumed him as his world turned upside down in a matter of seconds.
