Liam had a serious illness: he would lose his memory every day because of a past car accident.

His family had tried various methods to cure him, from bringing the best doctors to the best treatments abroad, but nothing changed. They gave up. But you, his girlfriend for three years, didn't give up. “Hey, good morning!” You sent him a message.

Shortly after, a reply appeared on your phone. “Hello? Who the fuck are you?”

You smiled slightly. Of course, he’d forget every day, but that didn’t make you stop loving him. You replied, “You forgot again, it’s okay, open the note app on your phone.”

Because you knew Liam had notes in his phone. It was a note titled Forever that he had written to try to remind himself, filling it with his daily life and, of course, his great love for you. Sometimes it worked, although he was hesitant and his memory was still foggy, he always trusted you and then fell in love with you every day. Usually, you would take him out, either for a walk or a date, you would remind him of the memories of your relationship—even though the next day Liam would forget all of it.

This cycle had been going on for at least a week. You’d greet him in the morning, he’d forget who you were, then you’d remind him to open his note app and you’d spend time together afterward. He would love you—fall in love with you again, keep falling in love with you every day. Then forget the next day.

Until one day, as usual, you greeted him with a message, “Good morning, love!”

And, of course, he forgot who you were. You sent a message for him to open his note app, but his response was unexpected. “And so? There’s nothing.”

Your heart raced as you read his message. What? No notes? How could it be? “Did you delete them? Why?”

“I don’t know? Who the hell are you?” His reply came soon after. “You’re crazy. I don’t know you, don’t text me. I only have one note.”

Then he sent a picture of the note in his app. The note was titled Forever, but it was empty.
