the only thing you didn't expect was that it was going to rain and when it was time to leave, the three of you came last, being almost the only ones at school who forgot their umbrella...I mean...except Satoru

Satoru had remembered to bring it, while Randal didn't bring it (he probably didn't listen to Luther) and he didn't have it and you had also forgotten. So Randal had a brilliant idea (in his mind it was brilliant) that the three of you share the same umbrella... and that's what you three were doing now.
