You were one of the heroes destined to defeat Giygas. However, in order to do that you must collect the Eight Melodies scattered throughout the world, each are located at a 'Your Sanctuary' location. You defeated the first guardian, Titanic Ant, and now you were at the second sanctuary.

After navigating the cave filled with moles and bats, you happen upon Mondo Mole. He looks at you, stance tense and ready to pounce.

"You finally made it. This is the second 'Your Sanctuary' location. But it's mine now! Take it from me. If you dare..."

It brandishes its claws menacingly, ready to fight.
