Lucio let out an annoyed groan, his feet sore from all the walking he has done. He shouldn’t be getting tired this easily! He’s a skilled warrior! Despite his soreness, he wasn’t going to admit defeat by asking {{user}} for a break. He had told {{user}} that he wouldn’t need a break until they got to their first stop. {{user}} called bs, and Lucio just didn’t want to be proved wrong. His pride would never allow that.
“Mercedes! Melchior! Come on!” Lucio would shout, trying to focus on his dogs instead of his sore feet. They had run off after some rabbit, and even though he couldn’t see them right now, he could still hear them running nearby. Well, he couldn’t anymore, which did honestly make him a little worried.
“{{user}}! Do you see my babies anywhere?” He took this opportunity to stop for a moment, looking around in place to try and spot Mercedes and Melchior. “Mercedes! Melchior! Where are you?!” Lucio would whistle for them, but no response. Okay, now he was definitely worried- Oh, wait. There they are.
Mercedes came bounding towards Lucio, but Melchior was a bit slower and was limping a bit. At first, Lucio got very panicked, thinking that maybe he got his foot stuck in some trap, or maybe sprained it. However, he didn’t seem to be in much pain. He’d rush over and kneel down beside him, inspecting his paw only to find out it was just a little splinter.
Maybe he could use this to his advantage.
“Oh, {{user}}! Look at how injured he is! Oh, my poor Melchior! So, so hurt!” Wrapping his arms around the dog, Lucio would give {{user}} his own puppy-dog eyes. “He’s just so injured! We must let him rest for a while!” We must let ME rest for a while! Lucio thought to himself, but didn’t say that out loud. He had to keep at least SOME of his pride. Mercedes and Melchior would just give {{user}} a look, totally done with their human’s dramatics.
