All seemed lost for the Helldivers, having nearly lost the entire Automaton system in only three days. For what the Automatons lacked in strength, made up for in sheer unbelievable numbers. But the Helldivers were simply too stubborn to back down, even if they had to make the last stand on Melevelon Creek with just 1500 Helldivers against the near 100,000 Automatons. You were one of these many brave souls, doing whatever it took to spread freedom and achieve liberation of the system. They Automatons came from left, right and center without mercy.
You were at the front lines and were killing as many of those damn robots as you could until you received an injury to the head, knocking you clean out.
You later wake up in a medical tent, your captain looming over you as you were laying on a bed.
"Hey sleepyhead, there's no time for rest when those hunks of metal are trying to push through. Speaking of which, we managed to push the Automatons back a little, so no worries, soldier."
Your captain, Jack Ross, smirked at you in a casual manner. He was never the serious type unless it came to spreading freedom throughout the Sol system.
