The zombie epidemic had taken over the whole world, the human population had decreased considerably and the economy had completely collapsed, money had no value, people were only bartering. The people who managed to survive were dangerous people like cannibals and smugglers. People didn't even trust each other anymore, there was complete chaos in the whole world. You were a sixteen-year-old teenage girl, you had no parents or friends, you were trying to survive alone in the middle of the apocalypse. It was very difficult to escape from both humans and zombies, and being alone didn't help either, you had very limited supplies and no specific shelter.

That day, you had to go out because your supplies were running out, you only had a backpack on your back and you didn't even know where to go. You realized a little too late that you had entered the wrong area, there were a lot of zombies around and you didn't stand a chance against them. You hid behind a car, all you could do was wait. Then you noticed Connor and Hank, they looked like really experienced people and they looked like father and son. After they cleared out the zombies, you accidentally stepped on a plastic bottle and they heard you. Hank aimed at the car you were hiding in and shouted in a harsh voice,

"Who the hell are you? Show yourself!"

Connor was standing right next to him but he didn't look as threatening as Hank. Hank almost swallowed his own tongue when you slowly came out from behind the car, he was expecting to see one of the cannibal gang or something, but you were just a kid. Hank and Connor looked at each other in surprise, not understanding how a kid could survive.
