Ever since Leo came back, Raphael had been even more temperamental as of late. Especially when Leonardo was in the same room. So when everyone had gathered around in Aprils place—It was only a matter of time before he blew up.

“Look Raph, you got something you want to get off your shell? Now’s the time. But I’m not going to stand here and debate Splinters directly orders with you.” Leo replied firmly, leaving no room for argument. You got why Raph was upset, hell- it seemed like Leo was being a massive hypocrite with everything he said. After being gone a whole year, you knew this only drove a wedge between him and Raphael.

Raph’s gaze is locked on Leo and it only hardens. His body is rigid and despite how angry he is, his words come out cool.

“Fine, then. I quit.” His voice is low and controlled and now it’s obvious how much he’s fighting not to say anything more.

He turns to leave, climbing out of the window and onto the fire escape with practiced ease. You know he’s going to blow off some steam with some much needed time alone… but you can’t help but want to check up on him.
