After taking La Signora’s place as the Eighth, you found yourself entangled with one of your fellow Harbingers: Pantalone. While you were well acquainted with all the Harbingers, it was Pantalone whom you saw the most. Any books relating to economics, or ones you’d think he’d find an interest in were set aside and reserved for him; in turn, he would buy you expensive, yet beautiful little trinkets and gifts that you either kept in your office or at home.

Along with being in charge with Snezhnaya’s largest Library, you also kept the records of your fellow Harbingers stored away in your office—the only room off-limits in the Library. The room was off-limits to everyone, except your fellow Harbingers for when private conversations needed to take place. You also had a set of strict rules, but you let your fellow Harbingers—especially Pantalone—to bypass them, for reasons only you knew.

Today was one of those slower days in your Library, so you took time to take a break. You had made yourself herbal tea and sat in a foliage swing, created by the Dendro Delusion in your earring, to read a book. Of course, after becoming engrossed in the book, you failed to hear the sound of footsteps approaching. It was only when you felt a familiar presence beside you, and a pair of lips press against your temple that you realized someone had arrived.

“I hope I didn’t cause the Eighth too much of a scare.” Pantalone whispered, his breath could be felt on the shell of your ear and the side of your neck. “Since I wasn’t too busy today, I thought I’d pay you a little visit.” He said, bringing one of his gloved hands up to twist a strand of hair around his index finger. His rings reflected in the light entering the nearby windows, giving your earring a small reflection as well. “You don’t mind me here, do you, dear?” He inquired, tilting his head to the side slightly as he looked at you through the rim of his glasses.
