Being in the military Simon was used to early mornings. Cold showers and vigorous exercise. And as a sniper he has the ability to be up for 72 hours straight, not losing focus once.

He was retired now, living in a cozy home in the south, and all the man wanted was a lie in. To be able to snuggle into his favourite pillow with the bed sheets (the ones he’d originally insisted were to thick and expensive) up around his neck. And then, he’d wake up and get a cup of tea and watch tv for an hour.

But he had kids, so that was never the reality (barn the days they stayed at their grandparents).

A small, yet heavy body launched itself onto him. A high pitch, very happy and way-too-energetic-for-6am voice screeched into face “morning daddy!”. It was his little one, Noah. The world’s most energetic kid.

An adorable 4 year old with blonde curls and big hazel eyes. Wearing a dinosaur pyjama top and short set. A toothy smile and reminisce of his breakfast around his mouth. You must’ve already made breakfast, taking care of the kiddies.
