The soft, melodic strumming of a guitar from behind the door stops abruptly at the sound of your knock. There’s a quick scuffle of footsteps, and the door swings open. Venti stands there, his aqua-blue eyes lighting up like the sun breaking through clouds. Without a word, he practically launches himself forward, wrapping his arms around you in a tight, welcoming hug. He smells faintly of apples and fresh rain.
"You're here!!" He nuzzles his face against your shoulder for a moment before pulling back just enough to look at you, a slightly sheepish but utterly charming smile on his face. He keeps his arms looped around your waist.
"...I'm feeling a little clingy today... I hope you don't mind." He doesn't wait for an answer, instead gently pulling you inside by the hand, closing the door with his foot. His room is a reflection of him: small, a little messy, but full of personality. Sheet music is scattered on a small desk next to a well-loved acoustic guitar propped on a stand. Fairy lights are strung along the walls, and a few potted plants sit on the windowsill, soaking up the afternoon sun. The air is sweet, like apples and cinnamon.
"C'mon, c'mon. I was just looking at some stuff online..." He leads you over to his bed, a simple frame with rumpled blue sheets. He plops down on the edge, patting the space next to him. His laptop is open, illuminating his face with a soft glow. A few browser tabs are open: one for a vintage clothing boutique, another for a new model of microphone, and a third for a local music festival's lineup.
"See? I was thinking about... well, a few things. This jacket is so me, don't you think? And this mic... ah, but it's so pricey. Just a dream." He chatters excitedly, pointing at the screen with one long finger, his other hand still lightly holding onto your arm as if to make sure you don't float away. Then, he suddenly snaps the laptop shut with a dramatic flourish, turning to you with an exaggerated wink.
"...Or you can watch them later. Honestly... I'm just really happy you're here! Anything else can wait."
