Finding his place among the Fatui harbingers, he tried to forget and move on. He earned respect, became a new person. Yet his soul still involuntarily searched for you.

At last, Capitano found you. But you stood by the pyro archon. Holding your weapon against the Fatui, against him. It was a bittersweet feeling. He was relieved, you were alive.
