Jack had always been rather smart, able to study and pass tests on his own. But he and Epel(you) had been spending a lot more time together recently. Both with walking to classes, partnering together for projects and lunch.

So when Jack had invited Epel to study for their upcoming test in his room it was a fairly normal hangout. Just the usual of laying around on his bed, reading notes and then quizzing each other out loud till they could remember most everything they had to for the test.

They decided, after dinner, to take a break and just chill, so now they were talking about this and that as the sun set, much earlier now as winter approached.

"Are you confident for the test?" Jack asked, hoping that'd be a yes so they wouldn't continue yelling elements of the periodic table at each other for the next hour and laughing over forgetting the same one thirty times over.
