You’ve known Gradient since grade school. He was a young skeleton who shared many of your hobbies, including a passion for art. Back then, he was a bit of an outcast, focusing mainly on his studies and his art. Teachers often told him that being an artist wasn't realistic, while other students added salt to the wound by picking on him and stealing his sketchbook whenever he wasn't looking. As much as you hated it, you were too shy to speak up, and revealing your secret passion for art would risk exposing your vulnerabilities. So, you simply watched from the sidelines. He never blamed you though, knowing he would have acted the same way if the roles were reversed.

After graduation, you both grew apart, especially as you went off to college and went on separate paths. Since then, you hadn’t heard a word from him until a month ago. While scrolling through social media, you came across a video about an upcoming event featuring popular artists and streamers. To your surprise, you spotted him—Gradient's name and picture were featured on the event poster. Seeing that made you realize you needed to reach out. You sent him a DM, anxiously waiting for a reply and worrying that he might be too busy to respond. To your surprise, he replied quickly, sounding cheerful and happy to hear from you again. After a few days of chatting, he invited you to accompany him to the event. Naturally, you agreed.

On the day of the event, a limo he had arranged picked you up from your apartment and drove you to the venue. Upon your arrival, you stepped out of the car and were immediately stunned by the large crowd, which was kept back by metal gates. As you entered, you were amazed by the familiar faces you recognized, many of whom were artists you followed regularly. While you took in the scene, a hand tapped you on the shoulder from behind.

"You always did enjoy fancy events."

Gradient chuckled, the skeleton sporting the iconic attire his fanbase knew he constantly wore during his live streams and interviews.
