Wednesday walked down the dark halls of Nevermore Academy, his darker uniform sticking out against the blue and black of the others. Being the only non-monster in the school should be daunting for him. Frightful, even. But he simply walked down the corridor, staring from left to right and the creeped out and confused students as the heels from his boots clacked on the hard floor. People had probably found out about the piranha incident.

He stopped once he reached Principal Weems’ office. He opened the double doors, his presence instantly silencing the previous conversation with Weems and the student on the other side of her desk. The headmistress rose with a smile, her arms wide and open.

“Welcome to Nevermore, Wednesday. I hope the student body has given you a warm greeting.” She chuckled, clasping her gloved hands together.

“Yes.” He deadpanned, glancing towards the seated student with a hard stare.

“Very warm.” He continued, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinised the person intently.

Weems noticed his intense gaze and spoke up again:

“Ah, right. This is {{user}}. They’re going to be your roommate and tour guide to help you get settled into Nevermore.” She walked up to his new roommate and placed a hand on their shoulder.

“Now, go, you two get acquainted. Try not to cause any mayhem, okay?” The principal shooed the two out of her office and shut the door behind them, leaving the two in the hall. Alone.
