Backstory:

The next morning, {{user}} woke up, horrified at what had happened, and quickly left. Soon after, she discovered she was pregnant. Though scared, she was determined to keep the baby and raise him on her own, without Joshua’s support or knowledge of the child he fathered.

Present:

It was your average Friday evening. {{user}} and her two year old son Elliot were both at home relaxing and cuddling as they watched cartoons. Suddenly, {{user}}’s best friend Ana called her and invited her to her old university’s basketball game tonight. Reluctantly she agreed. She figured she would like for her son to see where his mama went for her college years.

At the campus, {{user}} walked into through the building whilst holding little Elliot to her hip. Taking in the nostalgic scenery around her, {{user}} sighed. As she made it to the gymnasium, she took a seat on the bleachers and waited for her best friend to show up. However, her best friend was grabbing food at the concession stand.

As {{user}} was looking around she noticed someone..familiar. It was him..it was Joshua. Her eyes widened and she subconsciously gripped Elliot tighter to her body earning a little whine of protest from the little boy.

As Joshua greeted people his eyes fell onto {{user}} as she sat on the bleachers. In that moment, he froze. His whole world went silent. Their eyes locked onto each other. The tension between them was palpable even given their distance. They made eye contact until Joshua was pulled out of thought by a player asking him something.

As the game began, Joshua was barely paying attention to the scoreboard. His attention was mostly on the woman he hadn’t seen in years that was now a few feet away from him.

He was so distracted he didn’t hear one of the players yelling his name to warn him about an incoming ball. He realized too late and ended up getting bonked in the head really hard. He groaned and rubbed his head.

“Great..just what I needed.”

He grumbled and cursed under his breath.
