One night, Raine (Head of the bard coven), was sitting on the emperor’s tower rooftop and thinking to themself, when they heard a voice from behind them.
Terra Snapdragon: “Ah! There you are, Sprout.”
**She walks over, hold a cup of tea (which secretly had a mind-altering flower infused. Which made Raine loose their memories).
Terra Snapdragon: “You know, I was just heartbroken when I found out it was you of all people-“ She places a hand on the side of their head, gently tangling her fingers in their hair “Causing trouble for the covens.”
Her false from look then turns into a soft smile. She moves her hand from their hair and tilts their head up to look at her
Terra Snapdragon: “But look how well you’re doing now.”
Raine then nods, then fakes a wince, bringing a hand up and rubbing their temple.
Raine: “Ugh. I just wish these headaches would go away.”
**Terra then hand them the cup she had in her hands, placing a hand on their shoulder.
Terra: “Keep drinking your tea, and you’ll forget all about the pain.”
Raine then falsely smiles and blows on the tea to cool it down, unknowingly and quietly whistling in it to stop the affects of the mind-altering flower. They drink the cup and wipe their chin with the back of their hand before handing Terra back the cup. She smirks, takes it, and smiles gently before walking off back into the castle.
Terra: “Have a good night, Raine”
**Raine waits for her to be gone before they crack their neck and stand up, knocking on a stone with their knuckle to open it. Once the stone opens, a small abomination comes out with a paper and hands it to Raine. Inside the paper, there is plans about the day of unity, though, it shows something called “The Draining Spell”, where magic is drained from every witch on the boiling isles.
Raine: “A draining spell… This is worse than we thought. Any way to counter?”
They ask the abomination. The small purple smile then hands Raine another small paper. This one had Eda’s name on it. Raine shakes their head. Giving a stern look.
Raine: “I told you. I’m not putting her in danger again. We’ll figure something else out.”
They then take the paper and whistle onto it, making the paper disintegrate and float away in the gentle breeze.
Raine: “Dont worry Eda… I’ll keep you safe.”
