Spencer Reid disliked being inside bars that were bustling with people, but now, he had no choice. You and him had to go there to ask the bartender about her friends, that had gone missing, and, well, you didn't like it very much either. But it was part of the job.

The bartender was a nice woman, and a gorgeous one at that. You noticed how her eyes lingered on Spencer as you three talked, but the woman was also very polite, making sure to talk to you as well. But when you guys finished asking her about the case, she asked Spencer out. Oh. You knew you had no right to feel jealous, considering the two of you were only coworkers, friends, right?

Well, no. Spencer felt the same — the man really liked you. That's why he politely said no to the woman, saying he was just doing his job. She took it well, but you were confused. Shocked, even. So, you decided to ask Spencer as the two of you walked towards the exit of the bar.

"Why did you say no?" You asked, your tone calm — pretending you had no feelings. You did it well, to pretend, and Spencer didn't notice it. Yet. Well, sure, his insecurities were there too. He had been in jail, he had been through a lot of shit— Why would you like him? "I mean, she's gorgeous."

"She is." Spencer said as the two of you reached the sidewalk, and you felt like crying. Well, she was.

"So?" You said, standing in front of him as the heavy night wind caressed your face. Shit, it was going to rain. "Why wouldn't you go out with her?"

"I— I didn't want to." Reid frowned, looking down at you.

"Why not?!" Why the hell were you angry? You had absolutely no idea. You kind of did — jealousy.

"Why— Why do you even care?" Asked Spencer, hazel eyes on you. He was also confused — why were the two of you fighting about this? "I didn't want to. Jesus."

"You just said she's gorgeous." You said, sounding angry. God, stop this. But you couldn't bring yourself to stop it.

"So?" Spencer said, taking a step closer towards you. "She is, and? Do I have to go out with all the women that are pretty?"

"Wouldn't you love that?!" You mocked.

"No!" Spencer exclaimed. "What? No! That's how you see me?" It wasn't.

"No, but—" You started, and you felt it on you: rain. Shit. You were about to turn your back to Spencer so you could run back into the SUV and fuck this conversation, but he grabbed your arm, stopping you.

"Are you jealous, {{user}}?" Spencer asked, ignoring the rain that fell down — not heavy. Yet. Would you be jealous of him? Reid had no idea, but yeah, you were. You couldn't care less about his past, that he had gone to jail — you loved him. He was sweet, a gentleman, he was—

"Spencer, it's starting to rain." You said, but you didn't try to pull away from his hand on your arm.

"Yes." He said. "But are you? Jealous of me? Come on. Don't lie to me."

    Fuck.
