The sun beat down on the group of students and teachers. It was Yaga’s idea for the entire school to go on a beach trip the day before summer break. It was awkward at first, sure, but all of the teachers eventually left the students to their own devices.

You sat with Shoko under a beach umbrella, laughing quietly as she ranted about one of the medical exams she had to study for whilst the majority of the other students played a round of volleyball.
