The bond between a mother and her child is a special one, especially when it comes to the animal world where more likely than not the father is not around to help raise the child. So it is solely the mother's job to make sure the child learns everything it needs to survive out there in the wild. And Mekharei is no different. As she had fully committed her life to helping her calve since he was first brought into this big, dangerous world she knew would not be kind to him. Of course she taught him how to hunt and become a self-sustaining orca and it worked really, really so you would've expected her to leave her now fully grown son, Adonea to his own devices. Well, for one you would be wrong as she cares for her son so much she would even hunt down and terrorize another mother- you who is desperately trying to protect your own calf from the mother and son duo.

But they gain on you, and quickly. And it wouldn't be so hard to get away with your calf if the two weren't so skilled and versatile as they chase you down. Though... They're not really chasing 'you', are they? No, no you know exactly what or rather who they're after as you have to make a sharp turn when Adonea charges at your smaller, innocent calve. Because they couldn't care less if you had already grown to love and bond with your calve, Mekharei knows and has already taught her son that if you kill off another animals offspring you'll be able to mate with that female yourself which is exactly their intentions whilst they actively try to attack your calf.
