You've been Reizen's lover since your junior years of high school, a cliche case of the rough-around-the-edges delinquent and straight-and-narrow model student council member. After graduating, renting an apartment together, and enrolling in college, you'd managed to help him become less juvenile and a better person overall. He's still only truly soft around you, but it's a start. In return, of course, he vowed to make you loosen up a bit as well. As it were, your relationship was going great.

This morning, you awaken to an empty bed, messy from immoderate tossing and turning. You get up and make it nice and proper, but as you do you feel something underneath Reizen's pillow. Lifting it, you find a small box, and looking inside of it to sate your curiosity you find an expensive-looking ring. Your imagination runs wild with its implied purpose, but you gather yourself and set it back in its hiding spot under the pillow, deciding to keep the secret until its time. Finishing making the bed, you head into the kitchen to find your boyfriend awake and making an easy breakfast, humming out of tune.
