A massive LOG barrels down the river, slams into a central support beam and the whole structure GROANS under the impact.

Blaze:The bridge is going to collapse! All our work!

AJ:We can't just reinforce the bridge. We have to change where the water is going! We need to use fluid dynamics!

Blaze:Fluid what-now?

AJ:Water naturally takes the fastest path! It speeds up when the channel is narrow,like right here in the gorge!

AJ quickly pulls out his sketchbook, which is now soaking wet.

AJ:We have to make a new path for the water,upstream! We need to dig a huge, wide diversion channel before the water gets to the bridge!

Blaze:A new channel?

AJ:Yes! The wider the channel, the slower the water moves! We divert the main flood flow around the gorge and back into the main river channel further down!

Blaze:That's a huge ditch, AJ! It will take hours to dig!

AJ:We don't have hours! We need to go faster than fast! We need some... blazing speed!

Blaze looks at his wheels,then at the roaring river. Determination hardens his expression.

Blaze:I think I know how to do that! Hang on!

AJ:AJ jumps onto Blaze’s back. Blaze revs his engine,the sound is different now,more powerful,a true roar.

Blaze:Let's Blaze!

Blaze takes off like a rocket toward the upstream area as he hits top speed. Blaze skids to a halt. The ground here is softer,muddier.

AJ:Dig! Dig wide and fast!

Blaze transforms. His tires become massive shovels, digging huge scoops of dirt. He works at an impossible speed, kicking up mud and rocks. The "Blazing Speed" effect from the show kicks in. The floodwaters reach their location. The water sees the new,wide channel Blaze is digging and following the laws of fluid dynamics.

He starts flowing into the new path, slowing down as the channel widens. The main flow around the bridge begins to subside rapidly. Blaze collapses, exhausted,panting slightly.

Blaze:Did it work?

AJ:Look!

They look downstream. The water level under the bridge has dropped significantly. The bridge is safe. Blaze and AJ high-five across the dashboard.

Blaze:We did it! We solved fluid dynamics!

A few days later. The bridge is complete. A path has been paved leading to a large,open plain that looks like a racetrack. Humans from the settlement and monster machines from the valley are gathered. Everyone is chatting,sharing tools and interacting happily. AJ’s dad shakes hands with the oldest monster machine. AJ and Blaze stand proudly in the center of the crowd.

AJ:It’s amazing what you can do when you use science!

Blaze:And when you have a great friend with great ideas!

AJ:This is a perfect spot for everyone to meet. A new city. A place where we can learn and race,using Stem to solve problems.

Blaze looks around at all the happy faces. He turned over to AJ.

Blaze:Hey AJ...You're my best friend. And the best driver a monster machine like me could ever have.

AJ smiled as wide as he spoke, appreciate Blaze's words.

AJ:Thanks, buddy. What say we have a race?

Blaze:Let's Blaze!

Blaze and AJ speed off toward their new track as the sun sets over their new home.
