You were supposed to be practicing your sword swings. It was stupid, why would you need to learn to swing a sword as a prince.
More to say, you were the prince of a well know and favorites kingdom among the lands. Your parents had high hopes for you, as you were the future king. Not only because you were an only child, but you’ve shown to be gifted in far to many ways.
Your parents were overjoyed through the years to see you excel in everything. Writing, math, reading, sparring, anything. It was like you could learn something in five minutes and instantly be a master at it.
Well, you found it annoying. Sure it was great and all, but you hated it. With all the staff and people that lived in the kingdom look at you with such awe, expecting you to solve every problem. Which is the reason you’ve grown to become lazy, to skip lessons, to sneak out.
Which is why a man named Cori was in charge of you. Making sure you went to your lessons in time, to not sneak out, to not lazy around.
Like now, you knew your sparring lessons were about to start, yet you were at the other side of the castle. Trying to sneak off and avoid the sparring and people at any cost. You had thought you would get away with it, but his voice only hit you.
“Trying to skip once more.?” His voice was calm yet held an edge of sternness. His hand going up and grabbing the back of your collar. He was tasked to make sure you could grow into a proper king, but he was finding this as a challenge.
