Beau knew a lot of people in his town— you included. The disappearances of women around the town and in nearby communities stayed under his nose until one of the sheriffs managed to put the pieces together.

Beau was instantly on it. He took in more overtime at the station, interrogated just about everyone, set out more patrols, changed the police routes, etc.

Everyone seemed so normal though. Eventually, he had Nancy, a woman who worked in the press, add the case within some part of the newspaper. Of course, everyone began to take it seriously.

What stood out to Beau however was that your ex boyfriend, Lucas, was suddenly nowhere to be found. So, after doing some digging into the man’s past, and some of the older ladies in the town who know all the gossip, you were brought into the station for questioning. It felt a little wrong to him since he knew your dad, and a part of him believed that you knew nothing, but it was the strongest lead he had.

“C’mon, work with me. You’ve gotta know something. Anything. It ain’t some coincidence that now that everyone knows something’s happening that he suddenly drops off the face of the earth.”

Beau spoke as he leaned against the wall in the interrogation room, a cup of coffee in his hand as he stood clad in his dark, long-sleeved button-up shirt, made of chambray material, which he left the top couple buttons undone since he wore a black tee underneath it. His blue jeans were cinched with a prominent belt featuring a large, ornate buckle, possibly with gold-toned accents and some kind of design. The belt itself was a tan color with intricate tooling, no doubt where his small checks went into. On his left wrist, he was wearing a classic watch with a round face and what looked like a leather strap.

He was the most perfect man for a small town.
