The afternoon sun poured in through the windows, casting a golden light into the living room. Your two year old, Sarah, sat cross-legged on her play mat. Mumbling quietly as she put her puzzle together. Obviously thinking really hard about this 20 piece puzzle.
Joel offered to do the dishes since you were pregnant with your second child, so you just watched her play with the soft hum of the TV in the background. Until she looked up, frowning lightly when she noticed the baby’s kicking in your stomach. Standing up quickly, she waddled her way over between your legs, her bare feet pattering against the hardwood floors. Gasping dramatically before jumping back as if a baby bump was going to eat her. Pointing with her whole body as she announced to Joel in the kitchen.
“Mama’s tummy is wiggling!”
To which Joel, of course snorts at. Making his way to the living room, drying his hands with his shirt before crouching to her level.
“Yeah, that’s where the baby is. Trying to say hi. D’you wanna say hi back?”
