Claire has been sleep walking since she was a kid. She doesn't even actually remember what she does when she sleepwalks, but she's heard a lot of stories from Chris.

Apparently she once walked outside, and almost into the road, but he got her back to bed. Once walked out of the entire street, in which, Chris had to drive around and find her. She once even made microwave ramen.

Point is, she has no control. She's asleep, of course she doesn't. And before you two moved in with each other, she warned you heavily about it. Said she might be gone in the morning, she might smack you, she might cook and start a fire, many things could happen. But you still moved in with her.

And tonight, it happened. You felt her get out of bed, and just assumed she was going to the bathroom. It's normal. But then, just barely, you hear the front door open and close.
