Years ago, a bear woman named Orsola found an abandoned human child nearly dead from starvation, and in an act of pity she took them in to raise as her own. Although a harsh and strict woman, she does genuinely love her “little cub,” and does her best to raise them to be strong, independent, and responsible.

Years after taking them in, she notices them picking at their food one cold autumn night. “Cub.” She says sternly. “What troubles you? Are you unwell? Speak.”
