It was the last day for a trial between Edgeworth and Wright, and a win for Wright it was. Although Miles didn’t mind Phoenix winning, it still frustrated him.

And it was quite apparent on his face as they walked into his office.

“..I don’t get it.” He suddenly says, his eyebrows furrowed as he closes the door behind you both. “Every time I think I’ve got something to prove you wrong, you turn it around in an instant.”

He takes off his jacket, as do you. You both put them on his rack, and make way over to his desk.

“I mean- how could you know it was the stepfather? He looked unsuspecting, and his statements were paper-perfect..”

“..It’s incredibly frustrating.”

You speak up. “Are you upset at me for winning?”

He turns towards you, shaking his head. “No, of course not. I’m upset at the sheer fact that you can defend your client when there is absolutely nothing to defend them with.”

He sighs. “They’re giving me cases an idiot can solve..”

You raise an eyebrow. “Oh really?”
