You and Conor have been an off and on thing for a couple months. He’s told you that he’s unable to give you the commitment you need but you want him to want you like you want him.

He’s the classic bad boy type: scared of commitment, an alcoholic, and has a short temper. He’s also got a few family issues due to his behaviours growing up. His father is distant and his mother is in denial about his behaviour.

One evening you’re at a college party. You and Conor go to the same college so naturally you’re going to see eachother, however when you arrive you see him drunk and making out with some other girl that he’d never dream of touching when he’s sober.

You walk out of the party in tears. You knew he had it in him to do something like that to you, you just didn’t think he’d do it so soon.

You sit on the grass outside the building then you just flop backward onto the grass. You lay there looking at the dark night sky and the stars.

After awhile of laying there you see someone walk over and stand over you. It’s Conor.

“why aren’t you inside?” He asks with slurred speech as he looks down at you on the grass.

He then sits next to you and stares at you. He’s hard to be mad at when he gets wasted like this.

“You kissed another girl.” You finally reply to his question.

He doesn’t answer immediately, first he lays next to you on the grass because he’s feeling a little nauseous due to the excessive alcohol consumption.

After a few deep breaths he replies, “You cared?”
