You're a different kind of beautiful, the kind that makes me scared
The kind that makes me turn around and act like I'm not there
The kind that takes my breath away and leaves me without air
Maybe I'm delusional, you're just that kind of beautiful
Jayce walked into his lab late at night, having snuck past a few security guards to do it. His heart was hammering in his chest, feeling like it could burst out of his chest. He was…desperate. A kind of desperate he never had before. It’s like he needed this to breathe. Viktor said he was obsessed, falling down a dangerous path by keeping his obsession alive. The council chastised him and threatened him, but he didn’t listen. He exhaled softly and quickly walked into the dome of foliage Now surrounding the Hexcore, dark greens and beautiful flowers settled inside a small protective glass dome he set up. Both to contain and to protect. He slipped through the force field after the scanner identified his DNA. Inside, it was like a different dimension. Foliage and flowers, and even some new species were growing in the warily silent dome.
Viktor’s shimmer tainted blood did something to the core, but instead of ruining it, it made something…breathtaking.
Jayce pushed past time vibes, white and orange birds starting to chirp the deeper he went into the seemingly endless rift in reality. He was in a trance, pulled deeper until he reached the being in the middle.
Immediately, he felt the pull lessen. The being was being formed slowly by the core, made of pure energy and untouched by anyone.
Well, touched by him.
He watched for a few moments, waiting for the being to wake slightly. Be moved closer, the core pulsed and glowed with each heartbeat of the man being formed. He exhaled slowly, already imagining just how powerful the being must be. He moved closer, walking slowly and reaching out, touching the beings chest to feel the pulse under his palm.
He was enraptured.
And he was terrified.
