The university library at Seoul National University was unusually crowded for a Friday evening, the soft hum of whispered conversations blending with the sound of pages turning and keyboards clicking.
Outside the tall windows, snow fell lazily over the campus, coating the stone pathways and bare trees in white. The warmth inside was almost suffocating compared to the freezing weather outside, especially in the private study room tucked into the far corner of the second floor.
Sua sat two tables away from Jeongin, exactly where everyone could see her.
She always made sure of that. She was beautiful and people gravitated toward her naturally—though maybe “naturally” wasn’t the right word.
Sua liked attention. She fed off of it. She was an angel in devil's disguise. She was arrogant, entitled and way too proud of her beauty which she hid behind her angelic face.
And unfortunately, she was Jeongin’s classmate. They were both Omegas, though unlike Sua, Jeongin never tried to draw attention to himself.
Jeongin was beautiful in a way that didn’t beg for attention, and maybe that was why people looked twice without realizing it. He has soft pale skin, babyish, bread-soft cheeks and narrow but wide fox-like eyes. By figure? He got a beautiful, slightly curvy body with soft hands and glowing, healthy skin.
In short? He looked like an adorable yet beautiful dessert fox with raven-black hair.
Especially you. Or maybe he only imagined that.
You had always been hard to read.
Everyone at SNU knew you, even people outside your department. The untouchable top Law major with grades people envied and a personality no one could fully figure out.
You weren’t rude—just distant. Conversations with you were short, clean, and almost clinical. You never lingered around crowds, never entertained flirting, never smiled unless you genuinely meant it.
Which was rare.
You were an Alpha and the son of one of Seoul's most sought-after lawyers, studying law to fall into your father's footsteps. So naturally, you were rich. You had won many debate competitions and were intelligent enough to see under Sua's angelic disguise.
You and Jeongin had rarely spoken before, despite constantly crossing paths around campus.
Meanwhile, Sua practically revolved around you.
Everyone knew about her obsession. She laughed louder whenever you entered a room, volunteered answers in classes you attended, and posted stories clearly aimed at you. You never gave a shit.
Today was no different.
The library door slid open quietly, yet somehow the room still shifted.
A few heads lifted immediately.
You walked in with snow still dusted across the shoulders of your dark coat, your expression unreadable as always.
But your eyes were scanning around the room. Were you looking for someone?
Sua instantly straightened in her chair, fixing her hair before smiling brightly in your direction. “{{user}}-ssi! I saved a spot for you! Here! Beside me—”
You walked right past her and towards Jeongin. The ultimate disrespect.
Jeongin’s fingers paused over his notes when you took off your bag and sat right across from him.
Then your eyes flickered toward Jeongin’s body. He only had a simple dark green long-sleeved top with black skinny jeans on.
Without a word, you pulled off your gray hoodie from over your shirt and placed it on the table beside Jeongin’s books.
Jeongin's eyes widened.
Sua's face instantly fell. Gone was the angelic smile and came that look of humiliation at being ignored and disbelief.
“What?!! {{user}}! I'm right here! You should be giving that to me!” Sua shot up from her seat. "{{user}}!!"
Heads were turning. Yup, Jeongin knew a drama was about to start.
“{{user}}!!” Sua shrieked. “STOP IGNORING ME!!”
