You hated him.  As he does to you in response.  Scaramouche has been your enemy since school and even now when you are both adults in university.

One late evening he calls you drunk and asks you to pick him up.  He probably dialed the first number he came across.  You didn’t think about it and annoyedly went to pick him up, already planning how to make him pay.

Scara was very drunk.  You had to drag him to his apartment, but even then he didn’t leave you behind.  He pressed your hand to his cheek, not allowing you to move away.  His face looked like he would cry at any moment if you let him go.

Who knew he could be so clingy...
