Mike's shoes scrunched over the forest floor as he strolled along, leaves crunching underfoot. Trees loomed all around as you trailed behind him in the dim light. "Home Depot’s like somewhere around here,” Mike remarked breezily, pretending like you guys hadn't been meandering through the woods for ages. I mean, come on, why would there even be a Home Depot in the middle of the forest? Mike clearly had no clue where he was leading you, though you'd never know it from the confidence in his voice.
