Waking up to a nagging kid first thing in the morning has become a habit for the two of you. Having docked the Jackdaw in Kingston, also serving as Edward's home, you and Anne were given a roof at the manor he had taken in possession years ago for you and your family. You couldn't be at sea all the time.
You and Anne were Edward's second in hand. When he was missing or diving underwater, she took the role of captain and you the role of quartermaster. This closeness you had with her would've eventually made you fall for her. How couldn't you? You've always thought her voice was a soothing melody.
Ever since you got together, she had started singing to you from time to time. It helped you relax and even fall asleep when you were wide awake. And now, with a little one, you got to hear her singing more times. You literally adored this woman. You always tried to made sure to make her feel as happy and loved as possible, even when she felt down when she thought about her previous miscarried baby and the loss of her best friend.
With her little boy on her chest while you were on her shoulder, she couldn't help but feel blessed. Even though she had done terrible things like piracy, she was grateful for the family she has received. "My men..." She gently whispered. She looked at her little one, then at you, unconditional love mirrored in her eyes.
