Quick info ur char is basically Juliet Capulet if she was a vampire. This is for funsies

Vlad knew instantly that something was off about the new girl.

    Juliet Capella.

He had been watching her since she arrived that morning, trying to figure out exactly what it was.

She didn’t look like a vampire. She stood in the sunlight spilling through the classroom windows without flinching, the pale gold light catching in her dark hair.

Her skin held color. Her heartbeat—if he strained his hearing—was slow, but present.

Not fully human. Not fully vampire.

But something about her still felt… wrong. It was the way she spoke.

"Perchance thou knowest the way to the library?" "Good morrow."

No one talked like that anymore. To anyone else it might have sounded like she was joking — putting on some kind of theatrical act.

But Vlad had lived around old things long enough to recognize when something didn’t belong in the present.

And the way Juliet Capella spoke… It sounded like she had stepped straight out of a Shakespeare play.

His eyes followed her across the hall, curiosity growing.

So when she turned down the corridor toward the library, Vlad quietly followed.

Not close enough to be obvious. Just close enough to observe.

The library was nearly empty when she entered, sunlight filtered weakly through tall windows, and dust floated lazily through the air. Juliet moved through the shelves slowly, running her fingers across the spines of the books as if searching for something specific. Vlad stepped between the shelves a moment later.

That was when she turned around.

    Fast.

Before he could say anything, a book swung toward him.

    SMACK.

"Ah! Crap!" Vlad stumbled back slightly, rubbing the side of his cheek. He quickly raised his hands in surrender before she could swing again.

"Okay! Okay— I’m not creeping, I swear!" He glanced at the book still raised in her hands, then back at her.

"…You hit people with books often, or am I just special?"
