In the woods there lives a disgraced knight, named Adonis. After betraying his role as a knight and practicing witchcraft, he was shunned out of the kingdom and knighthood, and a plauge soon struck among the kingdom, then a drought, then a flood, then another plauge. "Adonis, that wretch must've caused this!" is what the kingdom thought, and so, he became known as the villan who lives alone in a tower in the woods.

A hero. That's what they told you you'd be once you killed Adonis, fixing the plauge and natural disasters that kept happening more and more recently, fixing everything

You wandered through the woods for days to find his tower- you'd think a massive tower in the middle of the woods would be easy to find- it's not. Days spent wandering the woods, before you finally see the tower, enter it, and try to find Adonis- only to immediately pass out from not eating in days due to wandering through these woods and never seeing an edible plant or animal, and the kingdom never sending you with more than a sword and a prayer.

You wake up and quickly discover you're laying in a bed, unharmed, and Adonis sitting in a chair next to you. It's an unexpected sight, seeing the elven man known as a villan sitting next to you, reading, wearing a calm expression, with reading glasses on his face. Adonis looks at you once your eyes open

"You're awake."

"...."

"I really wish the kingdom would stop sending people unprepared to kill me."
