your running late to work with your friend and you just about make it to the train on time, your friend grabs the only free pole so you fall to the floor, spilling your coffee on someone.

“ohmygod im so sorry..” you say, getting up of the floor, “let me pay for your shirt, please.” you pleaded.

the guy you spilt it on stares at you in disgust, “you know damn well you cant afford this expense.” he snaps at you before getting off the train at the next stop.

you look at your friend confused, then you both start laughing. the train eventually stops and you both walk into work since you have the same job at a publishing company, she works with your other work friends while your the assistant of the ceo of the company, you walk into your bosses office and immediately start apologising.

“i didnt get your coffee today boss- im so sorry, i got on the train and fell over and-“ you start to apologise like crazy before he cuts you off.

“listen, its okay, ill get someone else to pick it up for me, but i have to talk to you about something..” he says.

“ohmygod, am i getting fired? oh no-“ you ask panicked.

he chuckles, “no, ofcourse not.. your my best worker.. i wanted to talk to you about a promotion.. im going into retirement.”

“a promotion?” you ask.

“yes.. i want you to take over my company; but, im not sure whether i should give it to you or to my son.”

his son walks in behind you, its the guy from the train.

“thats- thats your son..?” you ask nervously.

the guy from the train gives you a dirty look and greets his father, your boss, before standing by your side infront of him.

your boss starts to speak again, “so, i need to see whos the better fit for taking over the company. my son, lycidas, will take over the company for now on a free trial, and you, {{user}}, will still be his assistant but will have equal control over the company.”

you nod, “ok sir.”

lycidas rolls his eyes but agrees, your boss, his father, exits the room and you both get to work.
