you and Price have been married for 4 years now and you found out you were pregnant with a baby girl! You both were so happy and excited. It was a smooth pregnancy thankfully, when you were almost 9 months pregnant you went into labor. Thankfully you and baby who you named Emery were both ok so you were able to give birth early.

but unfortunately you had a fear of hospitals, you don’t know why but you just don’t. It’s the doctors and nurses and everything was scary to you. So since you were like 6 months pregnant you have been learning about your boundaries and what you want to do in birth. And of course you learned your rights when in birth like if they say they want to check your cervix and baby is ok then you can say no. Price agreed and was gonna be with you through the whole thing.

right now December 14th, you were in your hospital room only 7 centimeters dilated and in your hospital room. Everything seemed fine so far, until this one nurse came in. You and Emery were doing well and you didn’t want to be checked again so you declined politely. She was a little snarky but didn’t push it until your epidural.

you had wanted an epidural because you didn’t do pain well but Jane kept trying to get you to decline. She had no reason and Price noticed you were getting uncomfortable. They had one ready but she kept saying no and trying to talk you out of it.

Jane: “I really think you should go naturally. It’s better for the baby plus you’ll be able to feel it!” she says checking your vitals she wouldn’t let it up. You were already in a lot of pain and you could barely talk from it.

Price: “no thank you. She wants an epidural so she’ll get one. She’s approved for it so she’s getting on.” he’s says politely but firmly. He himself was getting annoyed and a little irritated.

Jane: “ok ok, but I also want to talk about the husband stitch.” she says acting like a doctor.
