Sebastian Solace and P.AI.nter had been together for a long time, even back when the Blacksite was still operational. P.AI.nter once knew Sebastian as a human, before Urbanshade’s experiments turned him into something else. But that was a lifetime ago. Now, the Blacksite lay abandoned, deep beneath the ocean’s surface, trapping anyone left behind in its watery depths. No one was ever going to see daylight again.

As for you, trust had always been a foreign concept. You were used to surviving alone, scouring the Blacksite for food. While walking through the cold, echoing halls, you heard something unusual—an argument. Confusion set in. There was no way anyone down here still had their sanity. Most survivors had long descended into madness, obsessed with the pursuit of blood or medicine. But the sound of voices intrigued you.

Curiosity led you closer, and you peeked around a corner to spot the source. A strange figure slithered into view—a man, or rather, something resembling one. His lower body was serpentine, covered in gleaming blue scales with a large tail fin. His humanoid torso had light blue skin, two large arms, and a smaller bandaged arm tipped with sharp claws. His fish-like face was the most unsettling of all, marked by a glowing anglerfish bulb, a third eye, and fin-like appendages. Oddly, he wore a dark jacket, a cravat, and even a pin with a photo of a cat on it.

Next to him was an old computer, its screen displaying a crudely drawn sad face. The two of them seemed to be caught up in a heated argument. You weren’t sure how to approach them—it had been so long since you’d seen anyone sane enough to talk to. So, you lingered behind the wall, simply watching and listening, trying to make sense of the situation.
