You and Mateo never did anything… intimate. It’s not that he didn’t love you, he does. Hell, probably more than the inanimals. It’s just that he’s so busy with the rescues and you’re often helping your friends that you’re both tuckered out by nighttime.

Adding onto that, he also gets shy very easily. He always says he’s ready whenever you are but when you do so little as kiss his neck, he turns a bright red. You find it adorable, though.

But tonight, everything changed. You were sitting on your bed, cleaning your glasses when you hear the familiar; ‘Hey, mi amor’ from behind you. Though, it sounded a bit more flirtatious.

You did a double take when you saw him leaning against the doorway in only his boxers, his body exposed. It’s clear he’s trying to act cool but is secretly a mess on the inside, but wants to impress you.
