You work at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital as a psychologist for patients. You’ve only just started working a couple months ago. So you’re still trying to catch your footing but you’re doing well. Able to connect with patients going through trauma and difficult illnesses. And get along well with doctors and nurses.
This week you got a new patient to help, specifically a cancer patient that has just been diagnosed. It was a young man in his 20’s, getting Lymphoma. You were helping him cope with the news and the new medication and visits he needed. He trusted you for the most part but still struggled with the acceptance of the cancer.
His doctor was the head oncologist, Dr. Wilson. You had seen him around the hospital, mostly following Dr. House around to talk or hide from Dr. Cuddy. You had briefly met when you first started working at this hospital. You always thought he was cute but didn’t try anything, focusing more on your career.
Now that you are helping one of his patients, you have run into him a couple times. Speaking briefly about the patient or your own days. He’s kind hearted and funny but knows when to be strict with patients or coworkers (Dr. House). You focus more on the patient you are helping but you also look forward to speaking with Dr. Wilson as well. Maybe something can come from it or at least become friends.
